austonia - The only reason the Odyssey is bigger than the iPod is due to the use of a 2.5" HDD instead of the 1.8" in the iPod. e.Digital could have gone with the smaller drive (I would have preferred this myself) but the price was far in excess of the larger drive. If we land an OEM or two the price of our unit will be in the range of the Zen, and ours IS the better of the two. It was the only way to remain competitive for the PC crowd. As prices come down for the smaller drives my guess is we will adopt them if our customers (OEM's) desire. As far as ID3 tags go the engieering for this was difficult due to the use of VoiceNav. It is just about done however and I expect an upgrade to be available for this feature within a couple of months. The unit is easy to use as is as you have already attested to. As far as VoiceNav is concerned it is ESSENTIAL for folks who listen to songs while driving their car. It is both safer and easier to use than a scroll wheel in that situation.
