companies as large as McDonalds pay impairment charges every year....
First, I thought they didn't PAY??? Are you now saying it is a FEE?
Second, why would I tell you McDonald's is poorly managed, just because companies AS LARGE as McDonald's get "PAY" impairment charges? Does McDonald's actually get hit with the impairment charge like VSPC did?
An impairment charge is a bad investment, according to the EXPERTS!
the value of ipa could be 20 million next year depending on how the year goes and which firm does the valuation.
Depending on how the year goes?......YES
Depending on which firm?........NO, I don't think so.
As I understand it (I am not a CPA), but there are accounting rules/formula they must follow. So unlike you I don't think it matters which firm does it. I think they all follow the same rules/formula, as they sign their own name on the AUDITED financials. Any misstatements can bring down the wrath of the SEC.
