IPTV is not new, but it is definitely growing at a fast pace. So what is IPTV, and why do we care that it’s growing so rapidly?

According to MediaPost News, television delivered by IPTV systems is expected to double in the next four years. At the end of 2011, the number of subscribers reached 53 million. With the increasing sophistication of technology, more people will have access and that number is expected to reach 105 million subscribers by 2015.

This imo is huge not even considering the revenue generated by knowledge transfer and advertising dollars.
