Does anyone watch shark tank very often?

How many companies that go through the show are private / public? And how do the public companies and the billionares usually merge. Through stock transactions?

I know from last weeks episode these guys love to have "skin in the game" Makes sense that they would like these public ventures. Gives them a chance to increase and decrease the stake they own.

I watched the episode from last week and cannot wait to watch friday night.
