Interesting that you mention people adding a motorcycle to the family fleet for the commute. At my office alone, within the past month, three ladies are now driving to work on the little Honda Metropolitans. (not to be confused by Bobwins favorite car the Nash Metropolitan).

I would seriously consider a cycle for the commute.
