We are in agreement...of course not! And I didn't say that I did.

The explanation that has been offered up is that Mr B's younger brother is an employee of the OSC and they have asked an outside Alberta investigator to conduct the interviews to avoid the appearance of any impropriety.

Little B is an Investigator for the OSC.
Any other OSC investigator would then, by definition, be a colleague of Little B's.
Hence, for any OSC investigator to conduct an investigation into Little B's big brother and his company would provide the appearance of an impropriety.

It was properly and easily avoided by bringing in an outside investigator. Happens all the time.

I'm just guessing, of course.
