You can buy at the bid or ask, it won't do anything to "keep the stock moving up". If all the people on IHUB bought on the ask it wouldn't do as much as you would think. There are plenty of people out there that are buying and selling that aren't on message boards. So just try to get the best possible price when you want to buy in or add shares. If you're buying on a day that there are a lot of bid hitters then just place a bid, you'll get it for slightly less than you would trying to "help" the stock by taking the ask.

I too like to buy on the ask but mostly because I want in and I want in NOW! If I want a stock and I'm willing to sit on the bid for a while then I'll do that too and wait it out. Sometimes I don't get it and I change to the ask and I'm in. It all depends on the situation.

I used to think if I always took the ask that it would somehow make it look better or make it go up or get others to buy, but it just doesn't. When it goes it's going to because many people are buying other than IHUB members.
