Absolutely true story, I swear it.
Today, Monday afternoon. Sitting on my couch reading, doorbell rang. I seldom get visitors. Opened the door, elderly gent (okay, not quite as elderly as me, but who is?) with a clipboard. I noticed a "2012" button on his shirt. Ooops. He had stepped back from the door several feet, started mumbling. I stopped him and said: "I'm hard of hearing, did you say you wanted to re-elect Obama?" He said yes, and started to say something else. I held up my hand and said: "Would you wait just a moment while I go get my gun?"
He turned immediately, walked to the front steps, made a note on his clipboard (I'd give five dollars to read what that note said) and then walked down the steps and over to my next door neighbor.
