And bought runs by nefarious groups of traders isn't? There are two sides to the market and there will always be criminals active on both. You can only make 100% on your money if you short a stock and you can make that only if it goes to zero.

However, stocks can be artificially pumped up hundreds of a percent. And then what of the poor suckers who buy at the top? They become bagholders victimized by those terrible shorts, most of whom probably pumped up the stock in the first place.

Be careful who you side with. There are an equal number of criminals in all quarters and usually one and the same.
