First American Scientific Corp. to Establish Joint Venture Operations in Malaysia
BC-based First American Scientific Corp. (FASC) has signed a joint venture agreement
with Malaysia’s Ulimec Sdn. Bhd. Under the agreement, a joint venture company, First
American Scientific Corp. (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., will be established to run a palm waste
processing plant as well as market FASC's patented KDS equipment to the palm oil
industry. Upon completion of the plant in Kluang, FASC (Malaysia) will have the
exclusive right to market the KDS equipment in Malaysia. FASC will earn royalties from
the sale of KDS equipment as well as a share in the profits of the joint venture operations.
FASC will retain a 50% interest in the joint venture operations. First American Scientific
Corp. develops, manufacturers and sells the KDS Micronex system, a patented
disintegration system capable of reducing many types of material to a fine dry powder for
industrial purposes.
