Even IF plastic was presorted, plentiful and free...how long would "free plastic" last if there were huge profits to be made from turning into a commodity like fuel?
Only a small percentage(7%)is sorted by the public. Our local recycler is currently only taking #5 and telling us to trash the rest.
There would be a frenzy of plastic hoarding and prices would go through the roof. Dumps and landfills would charge companies to come mine their plastic.
How much will it cost JBI to have it "wind up in a JBI processor"?
Have you noticed all the plastic garbage everywhere. I can't wait for it to wind up in a JBI processor.
