The problem with these drugs is that there are so many obese people in USA with terrible diets and if they can just pop a pill to lose weight they won't change their lifestyle. So they may appear thinner, but their cardiovascular systems will be worst then ever, flooded with tons of cholesterol and atherosclerosis. I guarantee you the risk of heart conditions will be greatly increased while on these drugs and it will only be a matter of time before there are lawsuits pending if they even pass these drugs.
People on these drugs will have more toxic diets then ever because they will feel they can eat whatever and live off of mountain dew and sausages. You will see increased rate of cancer, heart disease, stroke, but it will take years to prove. There is a reason why there are no successful fat loss drugs on the market. You're better off taking clenbuterol.
The best way to lose weight is to eat healthy, exercise and sleep. Unfortunately for Americans today they are very poorly educated on what "healthy" is. There is no argument to that.

There is NO magic pill.
