Kim Heavey was name VP of Marketing at ATRN in June of 2011. Ironically, June of 2011 is when ATRN named Stuart Goldfarb as it's CEO. Kim Heavey's LinkedIn page indicates she left ATRN in December 2011. As we all know, Stuart Goldfarb resigned as ATRN CEO in January 2012. Coincidence that Heavey left ATRN a month before Goldfarb resigned?
But wait! There's more!
If you examine both Heavey and Goldfarb's LinkedIn pages, you will notice that the two have been "in bed together" since 2001 at Direct Brands. Goldfarb was Direct Brands CEO from 2001-2009, while Heavey served as VP, Customer Relations from 1990-2010. Furthermore, Heavey lists herself as having "Significant experience in company/product mergers/acquisitions and consolidation of operations for efficiencies."
Hasn't there been some speculation that the ATRN buyout or merger deal has been done for a while? I suppose it's possible that Heavey came in to assist with the deal and then bounced when her duty was finished. The other thought is, Heavey and Goldfarb were put in their respective roles at ATRN to lead the "merger that never happened" due to the Company botching the financing and being forced to give up on the Kazaa opportunity.
IMO, we have not come full-circle yet. Why does Goldfarb still serve on the BOD if his talents are useless? Heavey's LinkedIn now lists her as a Principal, Independent Consultant.. I wonder if she is doing some "independent" work with Goldfarb's Unbound Partners, LLC. Btw, take notice of this chick Selene Yuen, who served as ATRN's.....wait for it....VP of Marketing (she replaced Heavey) for less than a year in 2011. One more thing to note, Selene Yuen has been a Marketing Consultant at....wait for it.....Unbound Partners, LLC since 2010. Miss Yuen was rockin' out in 2011. She was VP of Marketing at ATRN and a Marketing Consultant at Unbound Partners, LLC.
There's never been a doubt that there is some shifty business going on at ATRN. This cast of characters may have the company and it's shareholders "in the dark", but they sure have my head on a swivel. Good times!
