What about their customers and employees as stakeholders? I think THEY should be the primary focus of a business...if they take care of that end then the shareholders would be taken care of by default. You can't run a company if you don't do things to keep people employed and maintain relations with customers. If deregistering was a necessary step to prevent spillage of information due to buyout/merger and to be able to continue to pay key employees to do their jobs, I'd think that would benefit ALL stakeholders, to include shareholders. But, WE as shareholders want to feel like we are the priority...Question is, what have we done for the company to keep them in business? That is why the shareholders that stick through this until the end will reap the greatest rewards IMO. Nothing worth having is free, nor easy.
