Back Up Your Work: Since we all can get lazy, I thought I would write a quick post to put in the stickies to remind us all to always back up our work.
Since I don't always back up my computer and have had my operating system crash many times in the past, I always keep a USB Thumb drive around (8 GB now) to back up address books, bookmarks or favorites, my trading software and anything else that I think is important.
This is easy to do in ThinkorSwim. You can back up your custom studies with one click by hitting export. Also, back up your workspaces each day by clicking the Setup button and then Save Workspace as. After that, close TOS and then drag and drop the file to your thumbdrive. Incidently, this is also how you copy TOS from the Live side to the Paper side or to another computer.
Computer's fail. Don't let let this happen to you without a proper backup.
