Starboy, that is the current story, some guy from Reno pretended to be the new owner of a shell (BCIT) owned by a developer in England. He went to a market maker and had zillions of shares authorized to sell.
Now the question remains does the market maker have to buy those fraudulent shares back or do they just get cancelled and the stockholders are out of luck..all these buyers are picking up fraudlent shares on the hopes that they will have to be bought back at a higher price but I think very soon you will see trading haulted and the stocks deemed worthless..and therefore cancelled.
