Jobs said they had sold 600,000 IPOD's through last quarter at the Apple Conference the same week as CES. So they did this in a little more than one year since they were introduced the previous November. Of course up until this Fall, they were only selling Mac compatible units. The 4 million unit sales estimate is for the life of the product as it stands.
