The truth is that this is a pretty scary situation for us shareholders. So often I've been involved with penny stocks in this situation. Usually the merger gets hiped and stock rallies upto merger. Shareholders, most often get screwed wether it be reverse split or back room deals. So IMO investors should proceed with caution and expectations of getting a big payday from merger/buyout are slim.
