The Pep Boys-Manny, Moe & Jack is offering automotive service, tires, parts and accessories. Its operating unit is its Supercenter format (averaging 20,600 square feet), which serves both do-it-for-me (DIFM, which includes service labor, installed merchandise and tires) and retail (which includes do-it-yourself (DIY), and commercial) customers with the service offerings and merchandise. Its Supercenters have a commercial sales program, which provides commercial credit and prompt delivery of tires, parts and other products to local, regional and national repair shops and dealers. During the fiscal year ended January 29, 2011(fiscal 2010), it introduced new format (14,000 square feet) Supercenters. During fiscal 2010, it opened 28 new Service & Tire Centers and seven new Supercenters. In May 2011, the Company acquired Big 10 Tires and Automotive, which is an automotive service provider. In June 2011, it acquired seven Houston area service and tire locations.
