A loss of control and roll of the orbiter exposing the top to atmospheric friction (failure of computer to compensate for differential drag) could be a cause for catastrophic burn out, but many sensors would still be sending signals, particularly those on the underside, so that is not very likely. I think we need to wait until more data are analyzed and more of the orbiter recovered. Can we move this elsewhere? am sure we are boring a lot of people with these discussions.
