I know some traders who buy up a lot of the cheapies. IDLM shares could be had for under 10 cents at one point not too long ago. I know some traders that were probably buying up a lot of the volume (they were the floor on the stock) that was being dumped to the bid. Some of the traders I know back up the truck and accumulate a lot of cheapies that they then place on the ask for a 20 to 30% gain. Some of these traders then hide their endless supply of cheap shares in 5000 share increments on the ask and frustrate those who hit the ask because the ask doesn't disappear (it just gets reloaded). The ask doesn't climb and no one then wants to hit the ask. The PPS then doesn't climb. The traders then reload at the bid when others get frustrated because the stock doesn't move (and these people dump their shares). The traders make a fortune rinsing and repeating for 20 to 30% gains. The cycle continues until there is enough volume to clear them out. This is what is currently happening with IDLM IMHO.
