I looked it up on Chuck Hawkes page, GP. He says it has only 7.8 pounds of recoil which is less than a .243 Win. I have killed well over forty deer with my .257 Roberts (Browning A-bolt). I see no reason why this should not become my go-to deer rifle at least for my southern hunts. I am looking forward to working up a load for it.
