Funny you didn't highlight the first word of that sentence,"Initially,the Company plans to finance its operations through capital commitments from shareholders." , which is the most important part of the whole sentence there buddy. By using the word Initiallyit meant the company was, past tense so GDSM does not plan to finance that way, planning to finance itself through capital commitments form shareholders; however, GDSM found other means for financing, which was mention in the beginning of that same paragraph you so happen to paraphrase wrongly by misleading on facts in understanding the usage of the word "Initially" and unable to understand the whole paragraph therein:
"Gold Coast has recently secured 2 joint venture opportunities, the Oro Cache Mine and the Sun Gold Mine. Gold Coast is a 50% revenue sharing joint venture partner in both projects. The Compnay is currently working with it joint venture partners to replace the Oro Cache and Sun Gold Mine projects with a mining property that will have a funding structure and commitment in place that is beneficial to the Company's shareholders. Initially, the Company plans to finance its operations through capital commitments from shareholders."
Also, from reading the whole paragraph, as it is written as is, the shareholders are not footing the bill but were before any joint ventures; so, therein, we are not footing the bill anymore and hopefully evermore. It will be evermore, since there are no reasons for the j/v to fall through IMO...unless, some unforeseen event happen that no one can predict... The only why your statement will be correct if your tense from your statement were in past tense, since shareholders are not footing the bills anymore... Making GDSM's financing non-toxic!
