Vulcan, the market on Tivus is controlled by the MM's. They get huge amounts of stocks at bargain prices and discounts for their "loans". SP took toxic financing to get all the work done in Philly, and when you do that you are at the mercy of the MM's. The good news is these folks don't like losing money, but the bad news is they run on trading programs that generally keep the price low and profits on slim margins. The week before last they finally stood back to view what would happen if they let their foot off the trading brake. That is how the stock took off and finally started acting like it will IF the MM's ever decide to stop manipulating the price for their trading benefit. IF Tivus gets a contract for Philly and 10 other hotels for $30 mil. the MM's will still control the market and can manipulate the price anyway they choose. Much of the silly arguing that goes on here refuses to recognize this reality, and so many people turn their wrath on SP for his actions. My take: Didn't have any choice. Do the job, or kiss it good bye. So we are alive today and hoping for Tivus to finish Philly for a contract with Host. Probably no contract for 30-90 days. Just remember, all the talk about price per share is so much blather. MM's will determine that now and in the future. No one knows for sure. GLTY. R3
