Yep, it's not what he said so much, I think, but just the way he said it (i.e. online in a public forum, and identifying himself as 'military').
He sounds like he has it together .. he just can't be advertising his views in public like that. And I am sure he knew it, and was just trying to see how far he could go ....
With this CINC, not very far, I am sure. When people are so insecure in their positions, they can't take any hints of criticism.
Hate to see him get in trouble .... but I think he knew the risk before he did it. I wish him the best.
The days of high level leaders standing up for their troops appear to be over and done.
