I think that's what this is. Get rid of weak hands. The last thing any company wants is to be profitable, their share pps go up and then everyone and their third cousin twice removed sell all of their shares. Partly why IPO's are the way they are. You offer stock before its public(technically)and have share holders who will hold for it to rise higher.

Because if you buy in a new company that seems promising at say, $20, would most people sell at $22 or 23, some but not as many that will once it hit's $30 or more and by then the company has(or should have)a solid track record and plenty of eager buyers for those shares because they likely pay a dividend on top of their upward trend and future company plans.

But with these stocks, the true and few ones, I don't see how they can raise capital through shares when you have everyone shorting, flipping and selling to make tiny money compared to what is possible and plausible with GDSM.

If I owned a ship, I wouldn't want everyone jumping over board cash in hand along with the passengers carry-ons.
