beigledog, in spending a bit more time perusing the 'tri-state generation & transmission association' website found they publish a quarterly magazine, titled "Network Magazine"

for me, not knowing much about "non-investor owned utilities", the box on page 6, marked "What makes Nebraska different? Cooperatives versus PPD's" proved interesting. appears i've got some catching up to do.... (if i recall, gunluvver resides in nebraska. perhaps he can mention some pro's and con's to the concept.)

and, for blokes like golrusher, the article on pages 12, 13 & 14 looked refreshing.
