Don't you think that other countries, such as China have the will and the way to overtake us. Which in turn will make them OUT Glutton US. If we live so long, and don't blow each other up, others will eventually catch up.
I agree completely that we are a wasteful society. 95% of the crap we/I buy is totally useless s**t that we/I did not need 40 years ago. Some call it progress, old farts like us call it waste.
