Lots of reasons...It all started with shorting when it hit the high in the overbought area, then turned into panic selling after the MMs started stop loss hunting...Then you add this quiet period to the equation and it adds a ton of uncertainty and fear which causes people to start selling at a loss, or taking smaller profit. The stronger hands will prevail.

THE TRAIN WILL MOVE MUCH FASTER WITH FEWER PEOPLE ON BOARD.

And this is all in my opinion as to not go against anyone else's opinion.
