I'll try to answer and hope some other posters are willing to correct me where I go wrong. By implementing simple methods a P. tree can collect 0,5-1 cubic meter (from different websites) of millable timber in 8-10 years. You can start thinning from 3 years old. The wood logs are quality scaled from A1-E. Grade E $181/cubic meter, grade A1 $412/cubic meter. (Timber FOB China March). As a general guide less than 1% will be grade A, 40% grade B and C, the rest D and E. When P. grows very fast the quality of the timber is lower than when it grows slower. SGCP planned 225 trees per acre. You can average and calculate if you like. http://www.alibaba.com/countrysearch/CN/paulownia-wood.html . My hope is Doug is working out a forward purchase contract so SGCP can advance with the project. The tree starts bearing seeds after 8-10 years and a large tree may produce as many as 20 million seeds/year. I asked John for the plans SL2 but he didn't answer. Hope this helped a bit, and don't worry, the moment the trees start generating carbon credits it will be calculated in the PDD.
