Sedano's Supermarkets was founded in Hialeah, Florida in 1962. From its humble beginnings with a single store, the Sedano's chain has grown to more than 34 supermarkets across South and Central Florida. Sedano's is now the No. 1 Hispanic-owned retailer in the United States and also the largest member of the Associated Grocers of Florida. The company is currently preparing for its milestone 50th anniversary, taking place in 2012, which will include the beautification of all Sedano's stores.
