Il risque d'y avoir sous peu un nouveau trouble-fête dans la cour des lecteurs MP3, et donc de notre joli petit iPod. L'Odyssey 1000, fabriqué par e.Digital Corporation, possède un disque dur de 20 Go, soit en gros l'équivalent de 40 CD-Rom [1], une autonomie minimum de 13 heures pour se recharger en 4 maximum, est compatible avec iTunes, gère l'USB 2.0 (oui bon, mais pour plus tard quoi), embarque un microphone intégré, peut jouer des MP3 mais également des fichiers WMA ou WAV, et intègre en outre un tuner radio de fréquences FM. Comme si ça ne suffisait pas, il propose un égaliseur 5 bandes, et la possibilité de créer ses listes directement. Cerise sur le gateau, il dispose d'un système de navigation vocale, ce qui vous permettra par exemple de choisir un titre rien qu'en l'énonçant. Disponible pour cet automne, pour un prix encore inconnu, la bestiole pourrait bien se tailler une part confortable sur ce marché, d'autant qu'elle n'est pas particulièrement hideuse.
