Not true at all. We could cut off all trade and close the borders and we would still be just fine. The over consumption is created by an excess of credit in the system.

Are economy I.E. the USA has no real intrinsic value, it consumes more than it produces, and this consumer driven way of life backed by “The Worlds Reserve Currency” I.E. US fiat can not sustain it ways IMO not even with changes.
