Why is the 1 million in financing there?!

If the numbers disclosed in that statement are utter doom....then why is the 1 million borrowed?

Is it because Roy new the game was over and went to his close buddy investors and said, "hey, after all this...the company isn't gonna be able to pay of this debt. However, I've got acccess to these shares. Sign this agreement, I can quickly convert these over for a 20% profit for you guys....then the company will just fold."

I'm not being ugly. Why is it there?
