Last Wednesday as most of you know, I fell while cutting trees at our camp, and tore some stuff in my left shoulder. I knew at the time this would result in my having surgery.
I had my appointment with Doctor Tom at Chambersburg Orthopedic Associates this afternoon to find out what is going to happen. The diagnosis is that I have a complete tear of the tendon leading from the supraspinatis to the ball of the humerus, and a complete tear of the tendon leading from the biceps to the clavicle. It will take surgery to correct it, which surgery is scheduled now for April 5.
Following the surgery, I am not to do anything much at all for six weeks, and then will commence three months of physical therapy. Trout season and spring gobbler season are history.
I was reconciled to being in the same condition as ONEBGG, so this does not come as much of a shock. Like the big guy, I will do what has to be done, and will recover from this.
