FNBN Schedules 2011 Fourth Quarter and Year-End Investor Conference Call (3/14/12)

ASHEBORO, N.C., March 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- FNB United Corp. (Nasdaq:FNBN) announced today that it will host a pre-recorded investor call on April 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Brian Simpson, Chief Executive Officer, and Dave Nielsen, Chief Financial Officer, will discuss the company's fourth quarter and year-end financial and operating results for the period ended December 31, 2011.

A pre-recorded question and answer session will follow the formal remarks. Interested parties can submit questions for consideration at InvestorRelations@MyYesBank.com on or before Monday, April 2, 2012. Questions selected by FNB in advance of the call will be read and answered during the question and answer session by appropriate members of the FNB management team, including Brian Simpson, Dave Nielsen, Bob Reid, President, and Dave Lavoie, Chief Risk Officer.
