Not so true anymore, since the large corporations have bought up most of the U.S. farmland. The farmers that were able to hold on are making a fortune now. My uncle owns enough farmland in Iowa now to be a small state in itself! LOL.. Last time I heard worth about 30 mill and has anxious buyers for the land.
