The report persuasively stresses the greater importance of Heavy REEs as compared with Light REEs. This is not the first report that stresses the commercial importance of HREEs so one must take notice of it.
Mount Weld predominantly has LREEs in the Central Lanthanide Deposit although the Duncan Deposit shows higher grades of HREEs, particularly Dysprosium (1.27% of total REEs), Gadolinium (1.99%) and Yttrium (5.17%).
It is still early days and the company needs to establish its product pipeline so as to earn cash, but I wonder whether even at this early stage there are plans to open up the Duncan Deposit sooner rather than later.
