Height has very little, if anything, to do with drive distance; but, arm length does (or could). It all comes down to swing or club head speed when the ball is struck. Why? Momentum is mass x velocity (squared). Therefore, speed has significantly more impact on the momentum developed by the club head and transferred to the ball. This law of physics holds true for baseball bats, tennis rackets, etc. This fact also eliminates an athlete's weight or strength from the equation. One of the best baseball players that I know personally is only 5'10"; however, he can generate so much bat speed that his home runs are the 400+ foot variety. In his younger days, and playing softball, he would hit 350 ft. shots with seemly very little effort. All this technical stuff is giving me a headache!!
