I've never seen a self propelled one man auger.

Do they work kind of like stump grinder?

The reason I was mentioning a 30" X 30" hole was because I was estimating a two gallon pot at about 18" x 18".

I have ground enough stumps to know you need to allow a lot a lot of time just to move the monster around though.
