3:10 PM Broadcom (BRCM +3%) could replace Texas Instruments (TXN +1.5%) as wireless chip designer for the next generation of Amazon's (AMZN) Kindle Fire, Lazard says, estimating the design win could add $30M to BRCM's 2012 revenue and better position it in the tablet market. The firm also says BRCM is well positioned to maintain the combo socket business in Apple's latest iPad.
