My Guess is that TS has some direct or indirect amount of info that he gets from Cornell. Some things can be implied without directly saying anything. TS can then add his spin to what has been implied and build a nice and fairly accurate story on what appears to be insider information. I say implied because he obviously has some of the big picture without the exact players names or timeline.
