Am also hungry for Rambus news. Am looking for a bottom on this stock. Have some money, 27K, put aside to play the Oct. scenario. Does anyone have a value of the current uncontested IP and contracts? I just can't see RMBS back in single digits unless we lose spoilation.

Samsung case going to Va would be a death knell, but I don't see it happening because of RMBS's earlier filing in Ca, and because it would probably require IFX helping Sammy (bribe entry to the Payne court).

FTC appeal decision could move price a little either way. I would love to have the FTC business over (might be worth a couple of points). If commission sends appeal it might go down a few bucks. This does not worry me for the long haul. There is NO WAY that the appeals court surrenders authority to the FTC for a longstanding judicial function.

Signing a new deal or two might help RMBS, but who'd bother right now with this pending litigation. As always a deal with the GORILLA (INTEL) would be the most meaningful sign. Hughes has to be of some use.

The DOJ doesn't seem inclined to release anything soon. However, I do think this is one area from which some good news may come. There are spankings to amigos coming and perhaps more help for the AT case.

Settlements don't seem likely soon because RMBS desperately needs a court victory in both Oct and Jan. But, I can see Hynix squirming if they lose spoilation. The die is cast with the SJs. The i's are dotted and the T's are crossed.


So, these next ten weeks, without significant news could see further erosion in price, but hopefully not into single digits. What are your comments about this interim period, price bottom, etc?
