It is very depressing Derf, especially since they were so close to landing.
I remember the Challenger explosion vividly and although not as vividly I also remember the Apollo fire.
I am going to show my ignorance here but why are we spending all of this money for space exploration when IMO it can be used for much more important things on earth.
These 3 tragedies are the only ones that I can remember but the number of lives lost in them is too many.
