NASA confirms that they had a problem with temperature readings with the left wing that also spread into the left tire. There is still a lot of investigation to go of course but there is now a high probability that the damage to the left wing during liftoff from the piece of ice that hit the left wing and dislodged the protective heat foam that protects that area may had something to do with this disaster. Of course a lot more investigation is ahead but so far all the telemetry problems (both temperature and pressure sensor) were coming from that area. Sad day for us all...
