I'll second that.

May I add the following:

1) extraction and recovery technologies have made huge strides, from re-processing fields in Canada and the U.S. that had already been harvested to ships/rigs that were unthinkable a mere 10 years ago.

2) oil may be at $100 + a barrel quite soon, and will be permanently way above that within one generation.

3) as reserves are exhausted worldwide, #1 will be even more true, so will #2.
