Maybe he was talking about entogenetics (at that time). KBLB has a lot of competition, just every one of those are doing something different.

KBLB has the right to commercialize the research, but the patents are held by the universities/scientists.

If the universities want to cut kblb out of monster silk...... they will have to wait 20 years.
