I'm curious. Is there even one person willing to take on the challenge of defending the stated feature set by explaining the application and feasibility of VOIP, RFID and wireless internet on these portable video devices in the target markets?
If not, then perhaps people should write to Atul and ask him to explain their technological application.
The new DVAP, based on further augmentation of e.Digital’s MicroOS™, will come in the form of a fully finished product featuring:
• High resolution digital LCD
• Embedded magnetic card reader
• Touch screen capabilities
• Internet access
• Voice over IP (VOIP)
• Full featured graphical user interface
• Content security
• RFID for tracking and theft control
• Access to e.Digital-supplied desirable content
Seriously, I can't believe that Atul (an engineer) said this or allowed himself to be quoted saying this. Is he really that out of touch with current technologies? Couldn't one of their 14 other engineers explain it him?
When the company says its going to stake its future on a unfeasible business plan with a product with a nonsense feature set, that should be of concern to its shareholders.
