I agree, they are moving forward with buying out Medina and I don't think they would commit to this without funding close to being completed. James Stonehouse was the VP of Operations at the mine prior to its closing.
So this new guy, Travis Synder will be overseeing all aspects of bringing the mine back into full production.
It sure appears that they are getting close to closing funding and getting the mine back into operation. Why else would they hire someone to oversee those operations?
