Exactech, Inc. (Exactech) develops, manufactures, markets and distributes and sells orthopedic implant devices, related surgical instrumentation and biologic services to hospitals and physicians in the United States and internationally. It manufacture some components of its knee, extremity, and hip joint replacement systems at it facility in Gainesville, Florida, utilizing modern, automated computer aided manufacturing equipment. Exactech cquires and distributes other products and services through exclusive agreements, such as it agreement with Tecres S.p.A, or Tecres, and non-exclusive agreements, such as with RTI Biologics, Inc., and Biomatlante SARL. Its joint replacement products are used by orthopaedic surgeons to repair or replace joints that have deteriorated as a result of injury or disease. In August 2010, it acquired certain spinal assets from VertiFlex, Inc.
